RFID / SMARTCART™

Cascade’s SmartCart emits radio signals that allow sanitation personnel to use an electronic reader to collect key data on the container’s use. The new carts combine the company’s expertise in engineered plastics systems with a technology known as radio frequency identification, or RFID, which has gained popularity in a number of other applications, including EZ Pass for toll collection, a variety of door entry systems, pallet tagging, and livestock tracking.

The SmartCart from Cascade Cart Solutions is an ICON Series cart outfitted with the Xtreme tag® brand of radio frequency identification tags. The Xtreme tag Snap In is designed exclusively to snap into the front rim of the ICON Series carts, saving time effort and money. With the Xtreme tag design, you can be assured that the intelligence provided is protected from harsh environments and functions in extreme temperatures, ranging from -40C to 85C (-40F to 185F). The Xtreme tags are available in UHF and LF, and can also be riveted onto any cart or container.

xtreme tag™



 The Cascade Engineering xtreme tag™ is an EPC Class 1 Gen 2 RFID tag that is designed for high performance in extreme environments. The tag is readable from up to 15 feet away and can be mounted to any plastic or RF friendly surface. The tag is also UV stable and is suitable for mounting on objects that are outdoors.

 The Cascade Engineering xtreme tag™ snap-in is an EPC Class 1 Gen 2 RFID tag that is designed for high performance in extreme environments. The tag is uniquely designed to snap into all 64 and 96 gallon Cascade Engineering solid waste and recycling collection carts while remaining hidden.

 The Cascade Engineering xtreme tag™ lite is an EPC Class 1 Gen 2 RFID tag that is designed to adhere to plastic, even plastics that are resistant to adhesives such as HDPE. The xtreme tag™ lite can be read from up to 15 feet away and is designed to be easily installed on existing products.

 The xtreme tag™ snap-in LF is a low frequency RFID tag that is uniquely designed to snap into all 64 and 96 gallon Cascade Engineering carts while remaining hidden.

TESTING & VALIDATION
Testing (thermal shock) and validation is done on all our tags and systems in their functioning environment. This assures the highest performance and durability of our RFID product line.
